Feb 25, 2021 · I came from google to mention that I've had a GS65 since september 2018 and now after almost 4 years my right hinge detatched from the screen side of the laptop. Gonna open it now to see if I can fix it, thankfully it hasn't broken the plastic yet

Jul 16, 2020 · Open the panel and line this up correctly and then press it down, this isn't a hinge problem. There are plastic locks on the lid which you have to press on a little harder to fix into place. It's fine and you might hear loud creaks.

Jul 30, 2020 · The plastic covers around the hinge and screen are damaged and ugly but the repair worked well. Last week the other (right hand) hinge broke apart. I took it apart and found the hinge to be partially seized. I loosened the hinge re-secured it to the screen with more epoxy.

Jul 31, 2023 · This problem has also been discussed, with pulling the hinges from the case (I also have it on an MSI GS65 9SF Stealth laptop). I will repair the fixing of the hinges in the case using poxy resin (from 2 JB Weld components).

Jun 13, 2019 · I recently took the panel off the back of my MSI gs65 to check on some plastic clips that I thought might've been causing the hinge cover to feel lose, however after putting it back together I've noticed a very slight bend in the back of the chassis not extending to the front.

Apr 26, 2021 · Most popular solution seems to be to glue in the hinge back with epoxy. Here's my take on a relatively easy repair that can be done without a workshop. Tools needed: Steel plate at least 1,5mm thick, 25x30mm. 4x screws, M3x0,5x10mm.
