On the other hand, capture lossless with huffyuv or lagarith and you get a good quality (subject, of course, to your source material) recording. You then re-encode that lossless recording to a format that suits your required end result.

I can turn off all postprocessing in mcpro24fps, but I can't find a gamut + gamma combination that will make it look manageable in Adobe Premiere. Looks like they sell the software to third-party, but do not support when something is modified. Pixelview and Prolink always used modified Honestech software, for years.

So you can do it through subtitle. The initial time. Subtitle isn't part of video and it is small file, but plenty of work, if not some batch file with regex expression.
