[META] Micro Center announces Santa Clara location for late 2024
Apr 17, 2024 · Fry's left a void here (that even they weren't great at filling) and I'm surprised Micro Center hasn't tried to move in. The closest thing I'm aware of is Best Buy but they're more focused towards your average consumer and every time I go there thinking they have something I need I'm met with an exercise in frustration and/or compromise.
Are there any stores similar to Micro Center in Milwaukee?
Micro Center has owned a piece of land near The Mayfair Collection (Hwy 45 & Burleigh) for a while now. Unfortunately, they still don't seem to have made a decision to on whether to build a store there or not. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm still bitter about having paid for a new 3070 the literal second it launched, having my money taken, and then it went to someone else anyways. Its impossible to find a reasonable price on ANYTHING online. I see my 1650 Super Ultra SC go for as much as the 3070 was at launch.

And Gerry Harvey used to wonder why his store was becoming noncompetitive in so many ways for years. Took pulling his balls over hot coals to get him to rework Domain and Harvey Norman to exist in a modern international market place for many of the same products, and even still, loads of stuff is at the peak retail price most of the time.

Jun 10, 2022 · Depends on the province; Memory Express has multiple stores in BC/AB/ON, and 1 store each in SK and MB. Canada Computers has multiple stores in BC/ON/QC and 1 in NS. Outside of those provinces, I do believe the closest you're gonna get is a Best Buy.

Mar 4, 2022 · You are lucky. I wish I lived anywhere near a micro center. For some context: I live at least 3 hours from a micro center. I'm in Tennessee, you would think that there would be a store in at least Nashville. It's a dang shame that micro center has 2 stores in ATL and no stores in the entire state of Tennessee.
