Dec 11, 2020 · My Dazzle DVC100 always work fine with Windows 7/8/10 =<1909 until I installed 2004 and also get Inserted Frames with choppy videoplayback and distorted audio. I have noticed in device-manager, the audio device of the dazzle is reported as "Dazzle DVC100 Audio Device" (2004/20H2), but in =<1909 as "DVC100" with the same latest driver 1.08.

Feb 28, 2015 · Also if you're capturing audio from older analog formats such as audio cassettes, your on-board sound card should be fine at 48K/16 bit/stereo with an app like Audacity to capture. You don't need the Dazzle, or any capture device, for this. A composite-to-3.5mm should do.

Jan 1, 2021 · VirtualDub will detected it still as Roxio device, even if your device-manager tells, it is Dazzle. If you device-manager still lists "Dazzle DVC100 Video Device" -> this is the wrong (official) driver with all the problems. I didn't test the Pinnacle software with this hardware and driver cobination.

There are black ones and white ones but Pinnacle doesn't say what's the difference between them or which is older and which is newer. And off course they will not answer this question because they want you to use their crappy software.

Nov 1, 2022 · Just be aware you get what you pay for.. and a $50 device is really cheap Even today if you know all the edge cases a $100 can get you a USB3 or Thunderbolt capture device on eBay that captures a better picture. If you wanted to go further down the rabbit hole $300-500 could get you an SDI capture device .. but thats a whole other kettle of fish.
