Nov 8, 2021 · The 5800X Processor Maximum Operating Temperature is 90C and does the same thing as the GPU card when it reaches its Maximum Operating Temperature. In my opinion, I suggest to keep the processor's temperature at 80C or below.

I've done some research on the internet and apparently out of all cpu's from the new series, this one is specificly 15-20 C hotter than the others, sadly.

Jan 31, 2022 · Totally normal. The 5800X runs hotter than the higher core count 5900X and 5950X. PBO is boosting at higher voltages because you have good cooling and there's more thermal room to work with. So, no worries! You can improve temps even further by setting manual PBO Limits and setting Negative Curve Optimizer values.

Another user had this issue with a 3900X and a 240mm AIO, after reapplying thermal paste, max temps went to 79ºC. Still a bit high though, a 360 would be the best choice if you have space for that massive rad.
