May 10, 2010 · (B) Very low input lag if you keep the monitor at max Hz, then frame rates far below Hz has lag benefits compared to a lower-Hz monitor. For example, Fortnite and CS:GO 100 fps at 240Hz is much lower latency than 100fps at 144Hz.

Sep 8, 2023 · I'd say 240 Hz is a good limit right now and for several years more. I'm using a 4090 with a 4K 144 Hz display and a lot of games, especially slightly older ones can go above 144 Hz, but few above 240. The latest and greatest tech extravaganzas might just barely hit 120 fps if frame generation is supported and path tracing is not involved.

Aug 25, 2008 · They claim 1ms response time and 240 Hz refresh rate, with a super curved 1000R curve. CRG9 is 1800R for reference. The stand seems to be a color swapped version of the CRG9 stand and in terms of overall design the only update is the screen portion. I have my doubts if the VA panel can keep up with 240 Hz.

May 13, 2020 · My guess is that the 240hz monitor will provide a better experience to hardcore first person shooter players, simply due to the additional information afforded from the higher refresh. As far as response time goes, though, LG's OLED TVs @ 120hz are right there with the fastest gaming monitors in terms of input lag.

Aug 1, 2005 · While $700 is a tall ask for a 1080p 240 hz monitor in the year 2020, this was totally worth it for me and my use case (FPS games like warzone/apex). DyAc+ is SUPER bright and the motion reminds me of my old Sony FW900 except w/sharper visuals.

Dec 18, 2010 · I'd say sufferable if you dont have better available - yet greatly inferior to a modern full featured (high hz, VRR) gaming monitor at higher frame rates. Soon, relatively, even 4k will have 120hz native or better (even on oled the gen after this with better hdmi), and combined with true 1000nit hdr with oled or fald.

Jan 12, 2024 · Interestingly, along with the aw3225qf, the g95nc 57" 7680 x 2160 FALD which is also 240hz capable, is also rated at 2.9ms at 240 Hz by the RTings results. At 120hz , the aw3225qf goes back up to 6.3ms and the G95nc goes back up to 5.6, the same as most of LG's 120hz OLED gaming tvs when at 120fpsHz.

Jan 12, 2024 · I currently have an Alienware 34" Ultrawide AW3420DW and I am on the edge of buying this monitor. Not sure if I should get this now or wait until future computer OLED monitors have higher sustained nits past 10% window coverage in HDR Mode. One thing I'd really like to know before buying is what screen finish type the monitor really has.

Jan 12, 2024 · The monitor comes factory pre-calibrated out the box (even has a calibration report specifically for your monitor) and the RGB clamp was on. I did the Lagom testing and noticed what Sycraft above reported too. In dark I really have to squint close up to see boxes above 3-4.
