My recommendations for a parlor guitar under $500/750 would be: Art & Lutherie AMI- which can be had generally for less than $150.00 It is a laminate guitar made by Godin, and is the best guitar for the money I own! Epiphone Blues Master - Rare, but can be had.

Feb 26, 2008 · While I haven't finished it or strung it up yet, I'm currently building a true parlor ("small concert", actually a tiny bit smaller than a single ought) and I plan to string with lights. While mine is very short scale (24.5) I think most are 24.9 which reduces the top tension about 2 precent from long.

Nov 30, 2008 · Before you do anything, visit the KMG website I think its' Kenneth Micheals Guitars. He sells a kit that includes alot of the tools and jigs that you may need. He's very hardcore AND HAS STRONG OPINIONS ABOUT THE RIGHT WAY TO BUILD A KIT. You can build a kit guitar that's worth quite a bit of money if you have the right skill package.
Tanglewood Parlor - Acoustic Guitars - Harmony Central
Sep 19, 2010 · I picked up a used Tanglewood Parlor for a song and a dance. It is an older model that has no made in China markings (was probably made there though), the model is TW73-WN. It is all gloss cedar over mahogany with a slothead. Scale is 25.5, 12 frets to the body, and a really deep body for a parlor. Looking forward to when it arrives.

Aug 5, 2007 · I got a Larrivee P-05 parlor size a few weeks ago and they come with Cleartone strings. The action is a bit stiff (I'm having it reset soon) but the sound is strong in the midrange and loud all the way around, esp. considering the small size. I use Elixirs on everything else I play and like the sound and durability lots.
