Apr 4, 2017 · Umm depending on where you live different areas have different voltages your psu says 230V on that yellow sticker generally in the us wall sockets are around 125V I believe so maybe if there’s a switch on your psu generally red flick it to the 125 or 115 v option and see if that does justice if there isn’t one you might wanna look into a new power supply unit

Jan 2, 2014 · There is an extra complication with an ATX system because unlike with an AT system where the power-switch is actually connected directly to the PSU, the switch on an ATX system connects to the motherboard which then relays the signal to the PSU. The ATX specification says that to turn the PSU on, you need to short pin 16 to ground.

The psu startup failure occurs every time and is caused by a flaw in the 5v OCP circuit, which prevents re-powering the psu within 1 minute of the previous shutdown.

The problem is now, whenever I switch the psu on and try to boot, it doesn't always turn on. It takes a good amount of flicking the psu switch on and off before the motherboard lights up. May 22, 2015 · The fix seems to be to then flick the PSU switch off and back on again, which usually (but not always fixes it). So, thinking it was the front switch, I unplugged my old computer's front power switch and plugged it into the new machine - same behavior occurs.
