Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is one of the top prospects in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.

Shedeur Sanders has reclaimed his position as the favorite to be the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. This isn’t the first time Sanders has been at the top of the list. Back in April, he was seen as the most likely No.

That said, he’s pretty clearly QB1 for me in this draft. The only other player in his stratosphere right now is Miami’s Cam Ward, who has his own case to be the best quarterback. Ward’s arm talent for me is just shy of where C.J. Stroud and Caleb Williams were in terms of pure throwing ability, which is still good.

As things currently stand, most NFL mock drafts have either Shedeur Sanders or Miami's Cam Ward as the top quarterback selected next spring. The latest projections have Sanders favored to land with either the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders or Cleveland Browns.

Our 2025 mock from Christian D’Andrea had Sanders to the Carolina Panthers. But in the latest mock draft from Sports Illustrated, it’s Miami’s Cam Ward who is the top QB, with him going No. 2 to the Panthers. Sanders goes No. 3 in this scenario to the Cleveland Browns, which we’ve seen before.

Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado football are in prime position to clinch a bowl spot with one more victory on Saturday. And Sanders continues to rise in draft value in the process for ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.
