Bed Bath & Beyond seems to be the brand with more lives than an adventurous feline.

Smaller format Bed Bath & Beyond locations will open across the U.S. more than a year after the retailer filed for bankruptcy.

Kirkland’s Inc. (Nasdaq: KIRK) is partnering with Beyond Inc., the parent company of Bed, Bath & Beyond, to bring back “neighborhood” Bed, Bath & Beyond locations, according to a Kirkland’s news release.

Kirkland’s (NASDAQ:KIRK) and Beyond (NYSE:BYON), the parent company of Overstock, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Zulily, are partnering to increase the exposure of Bed Bath & Beyond with merchandise now offered in Kirkland’s (KIRK) brick and mortar locations.

The previously closed and bankrupt retailer Bed, Bath and Beyond is making a comeback through a new agreement with Kirkland Inc.

Though the ink is barely dry on Beyond Inc.’s financial partnership with Kirkland’s, work is already underway to resurrect Bed Bath & Beyond at bricks & mortar.

Kirkland’s will serve as the brick-and-mortar operator and licensee for Beyond’s stable of brands, which include Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock and Zulily.

In April of 2023, Bed Bath & Beyond filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and shuttered all of its retail locations by June. It then moved online in partnership with Overstock.com. After striking a deal with Home,

Bed Bath & Beyond stores will be re-opening in a smaller format. Beyond Inc., which owns brands including Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock, and Kirklands, said it’s investing $40 million in the Container Store Group.
