C.J. Stroud threw for 285 yards and a touchdown and Joe Mixon ran for 102 yards with a score to help the Houston Texans to a 23-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Stroud bounced back after he had a career-worst 86 yards passing in a loss to the Packers last week to allow the Texans (6-2) to extend their lead atop the AFC South.

A dominant effort from Texans running back Joe Mixon (30 carries, 159 yards) helped Houston maintain control of the ball for 40 minutes. Against a 31st-ranked Colts run defense, the Texans will continue to test whether Indianapolis can slow down Mixon.
