Kim Kardashian has been a vocal advocate for the Menendez brothers, claiming that they had "no chance of a fair trial" when they were sentenced to life in 1996.

Kim Kardashian is thanking Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón after he officially recommended Erik and Lyle Menéndez be resentenced due to new evidence (and amid renewed public interest) in their murder convictions.

Koch and Kardashian visited the Menendez brothers in prison together in September. "Kim gets on the phone and starts asking me all these questions about Erik and about the brothers," Koch recalled in an interview with Variety. "Then she told me that she was going down there and asked me if I wanted to go with them. It all happened very quickly."
