The crowds are as bad as people say but what made it awful for us was the fire drill. It was known to the museum but nothing seems to have been done to mitigate disruption to guests. We had just c… Full review by prestoninaj

Yes, if you are visiting Florence from May I definitely advise you to buy your tickets well in advance. We're in Florence this week and the Uffizi Gallery has mostly sold out for the week ahead. That's a chance we can get a ticket buy going early to the ticket office but better to buy online from the official site.

We booked a 5 day Passepartout and booked a slot for entry to the Uffizi then went along 30 minutes beforehand to collect it from the priority booking queue. We booked for a 945 a.m. entry in midOctober and queued for 10 minutes to collect the tickets. We could walk in for our slot through the priority door but then had to queue inside for 20 minutes. Otherwise it was quiet enough in the museum for the first hour.. You have to visit the Uffizi first to activate your ticket. P.S go to the rooftop cafe early!
Q:
I am a 22 year old UK citizen. Am I able to purchase a reduced ticket for the suffixing please?
A:
You can purchase a ticket through viator which is a British company. I am Canadian and paid 20 euros a ticket. That included skip the line but tours were more.
