We are an older couple so we didn’t hike as such. We did short walks off the road and didn’t have any problems with heights or altitude ( my husband doesn’t like heights and I sometimes suffer from altitude sickness) We spent the entire day at Arches. It was wonderful and worth the trip.
I'm a bit confused with the timed entry & the vehicle pass. If I go to Arches, do I need to purchase both? I just got a vehicle pass for it but not sure if I should also get the timed entry pass. Also, do I need to get another entry pass if I go to the Canyonlands or I can use the one I got for Arches?

The “America the beautiful “pass (recreation.gov) usually saves you a lot of money and will get you into the national parks. You can purchase entrancenpasses to parks separately but it’s more expensive. The times entry for arches is different and you need BOTH a vehicle pass and the timed entry. Look at the arches website it explains it pretty well. I think the timed entry is also through recreation.gov Canyonlands is much less visited so no times entry. But you need a park pass to get in
